Asian Music Champion of The Year
Shadow
“Well if last year was a surprise…this year was even a bigger one….first we got 6 nominations including a double nomination in Best dance song category and now we get ASIAN CHAMPION OF THE YEAR 2012.
This year could not have started any better for us….our collab with Rajev Paul and the song uljha….it all happened so quick, like it was destined to.
Last year we realized that its easy to make fans but its really difficult to keep them on board….with internet an open playground artists and new bands are mushrooming, so we decided if we have to be in the limelight we have to keep our fans happy by
1)Creating good music and providing something new every now and then(heck we almost composed 40 songs in one year!
2)Reaching out to more fans and creating more awareness through regular features in media(print and online)
3) expanding our portfolio by means of collabs with diff artists. And i think we succeeded but this is just the start. In a country dominated by bollywood music its extremely difficult to carve a niche in a segment like electronica and that too independently.
We salute the BITE MY MUSIC team for encouraging talents who done even know how good they actually are. We dedicate this award to all the people behind this movement
(RAJAN ADLAKHA and VINEET MALHOTRA for SHADOW)”

“This year we would approach the music videos from a human and experiential point of view. What makes a music video connect with its audience? We know how expensive music videos are to produce so we have given the opportunity for the adrenaline, emotions, concept and creativity to be the voice of the musician. Voting for these videos was left to the power of the people to decide, with 60% from online voting and 40% from the global judges”" said Siva Chandran, founder of IndieGo Music Awards.
